Leadership Team
At Town Church we have a leadership team comprised of our elders and then a number of deacons who serve the church in specific ways.
Ian Lancaster
Ian is one of the elders of Town Church Bicester. He is married to Kerri and they have three children, Corabelle, Tommy and Talitha. He works full time for Christians in Sport and runs locally at Alchester Running Club.
Jonny Reid
Jonny is one of the elders of Town Church Bicester. He is married to Caroline, has two children; Duncan and Leila, and leads the Communications Team at Christians in Sport as well as playing at cricket at Cumnor Cricket Club. He recently finished theological training with Crosslands.
Pete Cockram
Pete is one of the elders of Town Church Bicester. He is married to Esther and they have three children; Margot, Edward and Joseph. He works full time as the design team leader at a digital design agency in the Cotswolds. He is also a keen musician and enjoys playing regularly at Town Church.
SIMON POOLE
Simon is one of the elders at Town Church Bicester. He is married to Elise and they have three children; Jacob, Reuben and Freya. Having trained at Oakhill Theological College he now works part time for the church and part time for Christians in Sport. He is a duathlete, running each week with Alchester Running Club.
HELEN NICHOLSON
Helen leads our Children’s’ and Youth Work. She is married to David and they have two sons, Rory and Vinnie. She works part time for the church and plays at Oxford Hawks Hockey Club. She is also our Safeguarding Lead and can be contacted here.
JOhn Ventress
John is our Deacon for Music. He is married to Raquel and they have three daughters, two of whom are at university. John works with Wycliffe Bible Translators and is one of the church's mission partners. His favourite things are foreign languages, music of all kinds, and walks in the countryside.
Katie Swinburn
Katie is our Deacon for Community Care. She is married to Chris and they have two children. Katie works part-time as a Home School Link worker supporting children and families at three primary schools in Bicester. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, Dancefit and seeing friends.
Administrators
jeni salkeld
Jeni is one of our part-time administrators looking after Events and Sundays. She is married to Phil and they have two daughters, Ellie and Keziah. Jeni also works part-time as a Primary School Art teacher and enjoys creating, chatting, and hosting friends and family!
FINANCE
We have a key volunteer who handles and manages our finances for us.
